The story behind the book

Drawn by a BC dad for his little boy.

I’m Sasquatch Woods—an illustrator, outdoor lover and stay-at-home dad. I started drawing the places I want to explore with my son: the coast, the mountains, the forests and the small moments in between.

This book turns those future family adventures into something kids and kids at heart can hold now. Every scene is drawn by hand and features Sasquatch, sometimes joined by my wife Saskia and our boy as his family.

Is the artwork really hand-drawn?

Yes. Every line is drawn by Sasquatch Woods. No generative AI and no stock illustration.

Who is it for?

It’s made for kids and kids at heart—for anyone who loves colouring, exploring and British Columbia.

Where will I be able to buy it?

The plan is to launch through Etsy and the Sasquatch Explore website first. Local bookstores and visitor centres come later.

Will it ship outside Canada?
